It offers super duper smooth rappels, which is awesome, but is rather difficult to belay with (it takes a lot of practice and experience to get it right). It's lighter, accepts the same size ropes, offers all the same operation modes, and adds a high-friction mode that makes it really easy to hold heavier climbers.
